Why a Retreat for Women?
Imaginewomen
Women are wired and built for "community."  In many cultures, women purposefully nurture and mentor each other.  They show each other the way rather than wait to comfort when one "fails."   They mirror back for each other things that the other woman may want to look at differently, rather than criticize her for her effort.  They are about coming alongside each other and speaking encouragement and building up rather than about criticizing and tearing down.  In the United States, however, we tend to see more isolation, separation and competition among women in all aspects of life, personal and professional.

As women, we have over the past twenty years or so, enjoyed an expanded vision of ourselves as confident and capable human beings.  And yet we still struggle with having the courage to be ourselves and to consider ourselves as priorities.

We have learned the lessons of an "expectation of sacrifice" well, to a point where it often seems that the wants/needs of everyone else always come first.  And in all of this, we lose ourselves.  We fall into old patterns of reacting from a place of fear and doubt rather than responding from a core of love, compassion, strength and wisdom, where we know that we are worthy, we are deserving and who we are is enough.

Imagine how your life might be if….
You felt confident enough to share with others who you really are and what you really feel.

You felt that you could make yourself a priority.

You were never afraid to ask for what you want and need.

You knew that you already held the key to honoring and maintaining a sense of balance, peace and purpose in your life…regardless of circumstance
